CLL built a concrete palisade wall to a basement, retaining 8.5m. Building piles from 600mm up to 1350mm diameter were drilled up to a maximum of 23m deep.
The project required up to 9m of dead drilling to facilitate the ‘top down’ method. This involves pile installation from the existing ground level before a basement cut to facilitate programme optimisation. All piles were installed with a high degree of accuracy. A fixed mast piling rig, the GEAX EK90, was used for the job.
The site team worked together with Ebert to sequence the work efficiently and with adjustments as necessary to facilitate Ebert’s site requirements.
