CLL are currently seeking Class 4 & Class 5 Truck Drivers to join our team. Applicants must be experienced in driving road ranger gear boxes and Hiab trucks.

- Attend daily pre-start and toolbox talk meetings.
- Responsible for deliveries and collection of materials and plant from project sites.
- Assist with yard tasks as required including keeping materials neatly stacked and sorted, keeping augers, drill gear and other digger attachments well sorted and ready for action.
- Keep yard tidy.
- Complete truck pre-start check sheets each day prior to using the truck.
- Log book entries
- Report any damage and follow up to make sure all equipment is in good working order.
- Attend training requirements to work towards additional licenses i.e. forklift, class 5 and crane operation certificate.
- Be well presented, polite and helpful as an ambassador to the company when dealing with clients, suppliers and members of the public.
- Any other tasks if and when required to assist the CLL team
- Comply with the Health & Safety At Work Act 2015 (HSWA)
- Ensure truck and cab area is clean and tidy.
- Ensure all incidents, near misses and risks/hazards are recorded and reported to the Health & Safety Department immediately

- Attend daily prestart & toolbox talk meetings.
- Design and fabricate objects and equipment using oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, plasma cutting, MIG, TIG techniques.
- Repair any damaged plant using oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, plasma cutting, MIG, TIG techniques.
- Able to work in both workshop and project environments.
- Maintain records of all work completed for Quality Assurance and Accounting requirements.
- Ability to use technical drawings and various other specs and verbal instructions for planning.
- Knowledgeable of construction equipment and machinery specific to piling works.
- Stocktake and source supplies for the welding bay area.
- Supervise welding apprentices when required.
- Attend training for upskilling (i.e. confined space, elevated work platform etc.)
- Work with supervisors and management to develop future equipment requirements.
- Must have strong problem-solving abilities
- Set up site for smooth workflow
- Any other tasks if and when required to assist the CLL team
- Welding high tensile and exotic materials
- Sheet piling experience a must
- Driving steel piles
- Dogman ticket required
- Ability to pass a structural weld test
- Experience with welder generators

About the role?
CLL are on the lookout for an experienced Crane Operator to join the team.
This Crane Operator will have at least 3 years’ experience within the piling industry.
- Attend daily pre-start and toolbox talk meetings.
- Carry out daily checks on crane and lifting equipment.
- Carry out routine maintenance.
- Report any damage to crane and lifting equipment immediately.
- Assess the site and crane platform regularly.
- Complete and maintain lift plans and any other documentation required.
- Lift and place loads using safe and approved methods.
- Communicate with dogman and other ground staff.
- Oversee and assist with the establishment and disestablishment of cranes, in accordance with the manual and guidelines.
- Make sure the site is clean and tidy and free of clutter.
- Attend training required to upskill for the role and be open for ongoing competency assessments.
- Provide information to Project Manager/Foreman for progress as required.
- Fulfil all other duties set out by the Foreman or Project Manager.
- Any other tasks if and when required to assist the CLL team.
- Comply with the Health & Safety At Work Act 2015 (HSWA).
- Ensure all incidents, near misses and risks/hazards are recorded and reported to the Health & Safety Department immediately.
- Wear PPE at all times.
In accordance with the Company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy, the successful applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug test.
In addition to your salary, you will also receive a company vehicle, fuel card and phone.
The role will guarantee 40 hours a week and may require you to travel around New Zealand to other piling projects.
