Join CLL’s dynamic team as a Heavy Diesel Auto-Sparky, where your primary responsibilities will involve conducting electrical repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on heavy diesel equipment within both workshop and project settings. Your role is crucial in upholding safety standards, driving innovation, and actively contributing to the overall success of CLL’s civil construction projects.

Duties include:
  • Participate in daily pre-start and toolbox talk meetings.
  • Execute electrical repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance for heavy diesel equipment.
  • Work in both workshop and project settings to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Demonstrate expertise in construction equipment and machinery relevant to piling works.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance skills and acquire certifications.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and management to assess equipment performance.
  • Be adaptable and undertake various tasks as required to support the CLL team.
What are we looking for in a candidate?
  • Proven heavy diesel electrical systems expertise.
  • Recognised trade/training certificates.
  • Current and valid driver’s license.
  • Bonus: Specialised training in heavy diesel vehicles.

This is a Full-Time Permanent position offering 40+ hours per week, with a pay range of $35 – $45 per hour depending on experience.

 

In accordance with CLL’s Drug & Alcohol Policy, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug test

    Piling Rig Operator
    General Information

    We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Piling Rig Operator to join our dynamic team. If you’re passionate about safety, possess strong technical skills, and thrive in a collaborative work environment, we want to hear from you.

     

    Duties include:
    • Punctual attendance, actively contribute to daily tasks.
    • Participate in pre-start and toolbox meetings for effective team communication.
    • Share valuable insights for continuous improvement.
    • Regularly assess site for potential challenges, prioritising safety.
    • Assist in preparing work permits, lift plans, and pre-work documentation.
    • Conduct routine machine checks and maintenance for optimal functionality.
    • Promptly report any tool, plant, or machinery damage for resolution.
    • Operate machinery following safety protocols and guidelines.
    • Immediately report safety concerns to Project Manager/Foreman.
    • Provide accurate progress information to Project Manager/Foreman.
    • Manage the site when required, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving.
    • Maintain a clean, tidy, and clutter-free work site for safety and efficiency.
    • Ensure well-maintained and functional site vehicles.
    • Attend training sessions for role upskilling, remaining open to competency assessments.
    • Fulfil all duties assigned by Foreman/Project Manager with a flexible and can-do attitude.

     

    What are we looking for in a candidate?
    • Proven experience as a Piling Rig Operator
    • Relevant certifications and licenses (WTR, Class 2 drivers license, etc)
    • Strong commitment to safety and compliance
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

      Rope Access Technician
      General Information

      CLL are on the lookout for Rope Access Technicians based at many of our sites around New Zealand.
      We have multiple positions available ranging from Entry Level to Experienced.

      Duties include:

      – Attend daily pre-start toolbox talk meetings.
      – Assist with machine pre-start and set up.
      – Set up work zone barriers and post hazard and warning signs in visible areas to isolate area before any work commences.
      – Assist with machinery and equipment movements.
      – Monitoring the safety of equipment, including height equipment, and ensuring tags are current.
      – Manual tasks including lifting, carrying, stacking, shovelling, digging and similar, using simple hand tools or small mechanical equipment.
      – Construct anchors, which includes heavy lifting and use of hand and power tools.
      – Rope access and height work, which can include preparing the site for drilling, marking out locations, applying and lacing matting and applying fixings to anchors.
      – Horizontal drilling, including spotting for operators, winching rig into position, supporting from the top and operating.
      – Preparing grout for pumping and cleaning the equipment to a ‘clinical’ standard.
      – Work safely with chemicals such as cement, plastisizer, hydrochloric acid, diesel, petrol, break cleaner, hydraulic oil and dazzle.
      – Conduct deliveries or pick up materials as required.
      – Assist and maintain site documentation and help visitors and new staff to sign on.
      – Maintain gear, breaking down and cleaning internal and external parts.
      – Report any damage to tools, plant or machinery immediately.
      – Site housekeeping, removing rubbish and loose materials, ensuring materials are stored safely and maintaining access/egress.
      – Attend training required to upskill.
      – Any other tasks if and when required to assist the CLL team.
