The challenges involved in this job included working on a site which traversed many levels. A level piling platform was not possible so works were staged requiring a high level of coordination with other trades.
A pendulum piling rig was used so that work could be effectively completed on sloping terrain. Piling on this project included bored piles ranging from 450mm diameter to 1200mm diameter to a maximum of 19m deep.
CLL supplied an on-site water treatment system for management of rainfall and ground water. High water volumes generated by two cyclones during the project period were handled with full compliance with Council discharge requirements.
In order to provide cost certainty for the client CLL conducted additional geotechnical testing to confirm and optimise pile lengths in advance of works starting.
