The 4km Norana Esplanade Walkway project has been constructed for Auckland Council in Mangere, Auckland - from Mahunga Drive along the coast of the inner Manukau harbour through Norana Reserve, to Favona Road – in and around the Coastal Marine Environment (CMA).
Works include the construction of 3.4km of 2.5m wide at-grade concrete footpath; 8 no. 2.5-3m wide elevated timber boardwalks totaling over 700lm; a 14m span bridge installed across a tidal stream; various stormwater crossings, retaining walls, and significant landscaping works.
It has a been a very enjoyable project to deliver for the local community.
