The work encompassed the construction of foundations for OLE structures upgrade. All equipment and masts (some of it installed as far back as 1938) will be replaced and replaced with new infrastructure. Works are taking place over the whole Wellington network (a fully electrified and operational area) over BOL periods starting on 2019 Xmas BOL, extending through Easter weekend, and running late into 2020.
